Julia Booth Arts
Hi there and welcome!
My name is Julia Booth and I am an expressive arts therapist, artist and designer located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in BC.
Creative expression has been one of the most powerful tools in my own journey of self-discovery, healing and transformation—and I wholeheartedly believe that it can be for you too.
It is an honour for me to support people of all ages and backgrounds in finding their own inner resources, guidance and resilience with expressive arts therapy. Through in-person and online 1:1 sessions and group workshops, I hold space for you to work with a combination of visual art, writing, sound, movement, drama, and any other forms of expression that want to come out and play.
I am a Certified Expressive Arts Therapist, and Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). I also have a professional background in architecture and engineering, which adds a unique perspective to my practice, providing a balance of creativity and structure.

I generally make art for the process of creative expression without focusing too much on the end result; and so, a lot of what I create is just for me. But of course, there are many other times when I have the intention or desire to share my creations with others, especially when working with certain media like pottery and acrylic painting.
I enjoy making pottery (especially hand-building pieces and hand-painting designs with underglaze), painting, drawing, discovering new creative methods, and finding ways of working with scrap, recycled and found materials.
