Corporate & Community Groups
Expressive arts therapy is not just for individuals. It can be highly beneficial for corporate teams, non-profit organizations, community groups, and educational groups in the following ways:
Enhancing communication: Expressive arts therapy encourages open expression, helping team members communicate feelings and ideas more freely, which can improve collaboration.
Encouraging team cohesion: Participating in group art projects or activities can enhance team bonding and a sense of belonging, improving overall morale.
Building trust: Engaging in creative activities fosters a sense of safety and vulnerability, helping to strengthen trust among team members.
Reducing stress: Artistic activities can serve as a form of stress relief, allowing team members to unwind and recharge, which can lead to increased satisfaction and productivity.
Boosting creativity: Exploring different forms of expression can stimulate innovative thinking and problem-solving, which is important in many team environments.
Facilitating change management: Expressive arts therapy can provide a safe space for discussing and processing changes within the organization, helping teams adapt more effectively.
Conflict resolution: Art can help people visualize concepts and problems in alternative ways, making complex issues more accessible and easier to discuss.
School Groups
I am a facilitator for several alternative school groups. I offer a variety of arts-based workshops that creatively and playfully engage different knowledge areas and experiences—from artistic expression, to STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), to outdoor exploration, and more—that can be tailored to your group’s needs.
My approach to facilitating school group workshops supports families in discovering fun ways of learning while using minimal and simple materials, and is inclusive of different ages and abilities.
