Spatial Design
Renovating or building a home can bring up a wide range of practical, emotional, and relational challenges.
Making ongoing decisions, managing timelines and budgets, and navigating uncertainty can feel overwhelming on top of everyday life.
Conventional design processes tend to focus on the practical and technical side of a project, but often leave little space for the emotional and lived experience of what it means to actually go through it.
My work holds both.
I work with people in the early or active stages of shaping a home who want a more holistic approach to the design process — one that supports not just what they are building, but how they are experiencing it along the way.
If you are…
Starting to think about what you want in a future home (in terms of function, feeling, or both), but are not yet sure how to translate that into clear spatial direction…
Entering a build or renovation project with a partner, family, or community and wanting greater alignment before moving forward…
Taking on a home project on your own and wanting support as decisions begin to unfold…
Or simply needing space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what is emerging…
In any of these situations, beginning with what matters most — how you want to live, and how you want to move through the process — creates a stronger foundation for everything that follows.
I offer spatial design sessions that integrate design thinking with reflective, creative approaches to support both the practical and experiential sides of your project.
Through these sessions, you will:
Clarify your needs, priorities, and decision-making criteria
Engage more actively in the design process through arts-based and reflective methods
Reduce overwhelm and decision fatigue
Minimize misalignment, saving time, energy, and resources
Create a home that reflects how you actually want to live
My work supports both the space you create and the process of getting there — bringing greater clarity, alignment, and care to the way you move through it.
Imagining Your Future Home
A creative and reflective process for clarifying the vision for your future home.
Single Session (2 hours) — $290
Three-Session Series (3 × 2 hours) — $800
In person or virtual
For people in the early stages of imagining a home, and wanting to begin with intention and greater clarity before moving into design decisions or plans. This session creates space to explore what matters most, how you want to live, and what your home may need to support that.
Through a series of guided reflective and art-based exercises, you will be supported to develop:
A more embodied sense of what home means to you
A clearer understanding of your wants, needs, values, decision-making patterns, and where there may be tension or competing priorities
A tangible connection between how you want to feel and how your home can support that
This space provides a reflective starting point for shaping a home with greater clarity, alignment, and intention. It can be held as a single session, or over multiple sessions for those who want to continue developing their vision over time.

Real-time spatial feedback and conceptual brainstorming
Early design ideas and next-step direction

Sessions can help with:
Design decision-making and spatial problem-solving
Clarifying ideas, plans, or options

Project kickoffs
Team-building processes
Client engagement and participatory design processes
Creative brainstorming and collaborative problem-solving
Moments where a group would benefit from slowing down, reflecting together, and clarifying shared values, priorities, and project direction
This work creates space for more reflective, collaborative, and intentional ways of working together within design and creative processes.
The spaces we create quietly shape the rhythms of our daily lives, our relationships, and our sense of belonging. In turn, the choices we make while creating them are shaped by who we are, what we value, and who we are becoming.
My hope is to support a process of thoughtful conversation, creative exploration, and intentional decision-making — one that honours both the practical realities of building and the deeply personal experience of creating a place to belong.
